WhatsApp voice calls also on Windows Phone

The team WhatsApp has finally made available for Windows Phone users a function which has long been discussed, that the voice calls using the internet. The update also includes sending audio files.

The wait is over: WhatsApp has updated its Windows Phone app, adding the new option to make calls directly within its app (via phone or data traffic over WiFi) as was the case in recent weeks for the Android, iPhone, and BlackBerry. To take advantage of this new feature you need to download and install the latest version, available on the Windows Phone Store and is compatible with Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.
The function WhatsApp voice call allows you to call friends and family for free, even if they are in another country. In fact, it uses the Internet connection of the smartphone and then the data plan, although the consumption is quite limited. The use of the functionality is completely free only on WiFi network. WhatsApp is owned by Facebook and has about 700 million users who regularly use the application to send messages. The ability to make calls over the Internet without additional costs compared with those for traffic data could further encourage the use of the application, which has to do competition with whether the WeChat and Line, offering similar services.
